She left the world at the tender age of 22, but she left behind a legacy in the short time that she was here.

On this day in 2001, Aaliyah Dana Haughton was killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas. Family, labelmates, close friends and fans lost an angel. Rest in Peace Aaliyah, this dedication is for you.
