The Game's lawyers are asking a judge to order the LAPD to give back $44,000 cash they confiscated from his home.

The LAPD were at his home executing a search warrant when they found the money.

During Wednesday's proceedings, the judge also took care of some side business, scheduling a Jan. 22 hearing to rule on a defense request to hold the LAPD in contempt for refusing to give back the loot.

A police spokesperson declined to comment because the probe is still open. There was no immediate comment from the rapper's lawyer.
