Last week, a judge told Remy Ma that she is not allowed out of the country to go on tour. Now, her and her record label, Universal Music Group, were just hit with a 10 Million dollar lawsuit.
Makeda Barnes-Joseph, the twenty-three year old New York City woman allegedly shot and critically wounded by Remy Ma, is the one suing the rapper.
In a civil lawsuit filed in New York on Friday, Remy Ma - real name Remy Smith - is accused of “wilfully, wantingly and maliciously” shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph.
The suit also names Universal Music Group and Sure Shot Recordings as defendants, accusing the firms of encouraging Remy Ma to behave violently to promote her image.
The twenty-six year old former First Lady of the Terror Squad is currently awaiting trial on charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, gang assault and witness intimidation in relation to the shooting of Makeda outside a New York nightclub in July 2007.
It ain't looking too good for Remy. This is a hell of a way to bring in the New Year!
